Crowntown Throwdown Cornhole Tournament at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

Proceeds will help individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and other disabilities secure and maintain gainful employment. 

*All players must be checked in by 11:45 AM to guarantee their spot in the tournament. Please try to arrive between 11-11:45 to avoid confusion. Thank you!




2-Person Team: $80/team ($40/player)

This year we are introducing competition categories. We will have the Queen City Division (competitive) and the Jester Division (recreational). If you want a chance to win a prize, we recommend picking the division you think best suits what you are looking for!

  • Ideal for those who have played at tailgates, parties, at our tournaments before, etc and who want to take a chance at winning big!
  • Big Green Eggs to the 1st place winners (1 big green egg grill for each player of the winning team)
  • Yeti Coolers to the 2nd place winners (1 yeti for each player of the 2nd place winning team)
  • $40 per player, $80/team
  • Each player receives 2 beer tickets, a lunch ticket, an event t-shirt, and a chance to win 1st or 2nd place prize with registration cost
  • Guaranteed 3 games by registering to play

  • Ideal for those just wanting to have fun! 
  • Boards will be placed a bit closer together than in the QC division
  • Great Gift Packages to the 1st place winners (Each player on the winning team will receive a prize package)
  • Prizes to the 2nd place winners (Each player on the 2nd place team will receive a prize)
  • $40 per player to enter, $80/team
  • Each player receives 2 beer tickets, a lunch ticket, an event t-shirt, and a chance to win 1st or 2nd place prizes with registration cost
  • Guaranteed 3 games by registering to play

Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
A: No, this is a family event. All ages are welcome! To purchase alcohol, an ID is required with a minimum age of 21.

Q: What are the transportation/parking options?
A: Parking is available onsite, as well as in remote lots. Lynx is close by at the Scaleybark station. Please drive responsibly, use code m4ei7 on your first Uber ride to save $10.

Q: What time do I need to get there?
A: If you are playing in the tournament, plan to arrive anywhere between 11 and 11:45 AM. Allow yourself time to park, check in, and find your area before the tournament begins, which is at 12:00 PM sharp. Thank you for your cooperation with this! 

Q: What else is being offered during the day, other than playing in the competition?
A: Over 100 silent auction items ranging in values of $25 to over $1,000, Raffle items including a Yeti roadie cooler and big gift certificates, Hole-in-one cornhole games with chances to win prizes, great live music, beer, dogs and happy people!
